Women in Control Luncheon

Tuesday, 12-1:30 pm, December 12th, Room TBD (see posters)

The IEEE CSS Women in Control (WIC) Standing Committee promotes IEEE, CSS, and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) membership and activities. WIC develops programs that support recruitment and growth of women in the automatic control field. The WIC luncheon is traditionally held on the first day of the conference. It is a nice occasion to get to know new members of our scientific community and catch up with existing members.

IEEE WIE is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering. WIE’s goal is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. We envision a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.

At the WIC luncheon, we are fortunate to have the Chair of IEEE WIE, Professor Bozenna Pasik-Duncan (a long-time IEEE CSS member) and CDC Plenary speaker Anna Stefanopoulou address the group.

All CDC 2017 women participants are kindly invited to attend the WIC luncheon.
